   Ooh! I hope that means ours is coming. Did you order from Peddler’s Wagon? We’ve been waiting for the Solar Sport from them…How did the bread turn out? I can’t wait to try it!

   Oh I am excited for you Lisa! I did order mine from Peddler’s Wagon. They are so far behind…as in they are just now shipping out orders from the first week of June.
   The owners of the Solar Oven Society are such nice people and the company is run by only three people. They are a non-profit organization that accepts donations. The woman was telling me that they normally sell a couple of hundred ovens during the fall and winter months and that they had purchased enough parts to complete 1000 over the “slow” months, however, they sold over 600 in the fall alone.
   We cooked canned biscuits and they turned out okay…but not like an oven. They did not rise as much, but we had trouble with the oven not getting over 240 degrees until we put the reflectors on. The reflectors are not supposed to be used in temps above 300 or so.
   I cooked dried black-eyed peas today and the texture was perfect. I cheated by boiling the peas on the stove for two mins and letting them soak before rinsing them before placing them in the preheated black pot in the oven.

   Me, three! I think a whole passel of us ordered from Peddler’s Wagon around the same time. I ordered mine the end of June, so I will expect it toward the end of August, I guess.

   I’m glad to hear beans worked well - I think beans and rice will be my primary things to try!
