Our kitty’s name is Buttercup, too! How funny. She was named that when we got her at the Humane Society. Our is a calico, though. Your cat is beautiful, too.
Thanks Liza. Buttercup was born to a rogue mom who wanders the streets. One day when I was hanging laundry, I kept hearing her cries from the vacant house next door. She was alone…no mom or siblings to be found. She just sort of took us in…and she followed me EVERYWHERE. When DD came home from one of her summer trips, she fell in love and now she is part of the family. Occasionally I see her mom and other family members hanging out under the house across the street, but we cannot get anywhere near them before they scatter. I always thought it a bit strange that this cat came right up to me and the others are so frightened of everyone.

Oh…is sympathy in order here, Anita?
I was just thinking I wish I could find a home for both of my cats….Houdini AND Buttercup.
