I am a HUGE Fan

April 12th, 2009

Posting on my blogs has been very sporatic lately, however I occasionally surf around to other blogs in an attempt to keep up with everyone. Today I came across the cutest blogger “award” over at I am Harrietactually it is not an award at all…just a gesture to let your blogger friends know you are a fan.

Harriet has proclaimed April as “Tell ’em You’re a Fan Month”   with this cute li’l widget to share.

There are so many blogs that I just love…I want to send the love out to everyone….but I am starting with:

(in no certain order)

CindyDianne

Hot Belly Mama

Wisdom of the Trowel

Brazos Cowgirl

The Zahn Zone

Freaky Frugalite

Homesteading Housewife

Prairie Dreams

Peak Oil Hausfrau

…and of course back to HARRIET also!

The guidelines are very simple…

For April:

Tell your favorite blog sites that you’re a fan.

        1. Leave a comment or an email for your favorite blogger telling them that you are a fan of the site.

2. Feel free to snag the image  to present to your blog friend or post on your sitewhen it is awarded to you.

3. When you receive more than one fan, put the number of fans you have received under the image.

4. The more fans you receive=the better!

HAVE FUN!

So Far Behind

October 10th, 2008

I am so far behind, that it is embarrassing. Anita at Prairie Dreams has blessed me with two awards over the past month that I have not even acknowledged here at my place. I am so blessed to be able to call this amazingly talented lady my friend.
The latest award she sent my way is….

The text that goes with the award:”To translate the gift from Portuguese to English, it means:

“This blog invests and believes, the proximity” (meaning, that blogging makes us ‘close’ -being close through proxy)

“They all are charmed with the blogs, where in the majority of its aims are to show the marvels and to do friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize, and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut, or that they propagate? Then let’s try to give more attention to them! So with this prize we must deliver it to bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this text.”

I would like to send this award to Lisa and.

Several weeks ago Anita also sent me this lovely green (my favorite color)  award…

Anita is well deserving of this award and I am honored that she still thinks about this absentee friend…me! I would like to send this award to Rebecca, another amazing blogger friend.

I Am SPEECHLESS!

September 5th, 2008

Thank you! Thank you!

Kathy from BrazosCowgirl sent me this wonderful Gre♥t Buddy Award. I originally found BrazosCowgirl through Entrecard, but fell in love with the design of her blog and the way she makes you feel as though you have been friends forever. Her sense of humor and take on local/national politics keeps me coming back for more from this Texas Gal. Maybe it is our Texas connection that has helped this friendship along. Thank you Kathy….You deserve this award and I appreciate you passing it along to me.

Mrs. Mecomber at New York Traveler has passed on this awesome award….I Your Blog. This woman amazes me with her ability to keep several blogs going AND interesting.

This weekend, I hope to add my nominees for these two exciting awards and also add a couple of other awards that have been presented. For now, the kitchen is calling and dinner needs to be made. DH should be home any moment and we have a wet yard sale for which to prepare. The fun never ends around here!

LATE THANK YOUs

September 5th, 2008

I have been very remiss in not acknowledging some recent awards from my fellow bloggers, lately. It always amazes me that anyone would find our goings on here of any interest. I sometimes feel as though I am just rambling to myself.
Nevertheless, I have met some fascinating people in my new adventures in “Bloggerland” and appreciate that they would throw accolades in my direction.
The first award arrive via Prairie Dreams. Anita was one of the first persons that I met soon after beginning my blog. She graciously tagged me with this adorable FRIENDSHIP AWARD. Thank you, Anita!

I would like to nominate Claire for this cute award!

Another great place to visit, The House that Koen and Claire (Re)Built,  sent this premium Brilliante Weblog Award. I empathize with this family, in that they are remodeling a lovely older home in Belgium…something that we have in common, with the exception of me being in Kansas. Belgium sounds so much more romantic.

Thank you Claire!

Now here are the rules for nominating…

1. The winner can put the logo on his/her blog
2. Link the person you received your award from
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs
4. Put links of those blogs on yours, and
5. Leave a message on the blogs that you’ve nominated

The first person’s blog I would love to nominate for this award is Prairie Visions for Anita’s lovely photography work! Anita has a keen eye and a steady hand with the camera when it comes to finding beauty in everyday things.

It Takes a Planet to Raise a Child is another one of my frequent stopping places. Self described as a “writer, natural resources professional and mother who likes to write about the planet, people, and family”,  ITPRC offers her opinions on everything from gardening to politics to life with her family.

Anita, at Prairie Dreams has sent me a fun to read award and I would love to send it to a few of my favorite places to visit!

THANKS ANITA!
